Putting the finishing touches on a shiny new SMA-based, ground-mounted commercial PV system.
An outside investor group proposed this project to St. Philip’s School as a way to hedge the school’s overhead against grid-energy cost escalation without the need for a large, upfront investment of their own. The investment group who now own the solar energy system contracted Sunshine Renewable Solutions to make their idea a reality and were able to realize the Investment Tax Credit against their tax liability. St. Philip’s now purchase the generated solar energy from the investment group via a power purchase agreement (PPA) and plan to purchase the system from the investment group at a favorable price in year six.
To ensure the continued viability of this valuable asset, the federal government branch overseeing operations and maintenance of this downtown parking garage contracted Sunshine to keep it clean and quickly address any functionality issues which would otherwise cause lengthy and expensive downtime. They can now rest assured, knowing that their solar energy system will produce reliably and efficiently.
For Dar Elsalam, lowering operating costs means providing more services for the community they serve. Their visionary leadership embraced the idea of installing their own renewable energy source as a pillar of their longer-term strategy of investment into the incredible asset that is the Islamic Center. Sunshine Renewable Solutions were honored to have been selected as the sole partner needed to realize this vision.
Maxter Healthcare, a subsidiary of Supermax Healthcare—a global leader in personal protective equipment (PPE) manufacturing and forward-thinking development—broke ground on construction of their first U.S. manufacturing facility in 2023. Leaning on the knowledge gained through their prior successes in building and operating similar facilities around the world, Maxter saw rooftop solar as a critical component of the plans for this facility from its inception. Sunshine Renewable Solutions were thrilled to have been contracted for installation of over 2.1 megawatts of ballasted, rooftop solar for their new facility.
An innovator at the very leading edge of what a retail energy provider can offer, Octopus Energy is constantly creating new value propositions for its customers. This battery-backup system serves as a test laboratory for the code they’re writing which learns to predict grid-energy cost trends and intelligently builds and manages charge/discharge schedules for the purpose of rate arbitration. The idea is that—once optimized—their residential customers will be able to put their own battery-backup systems to work producing a monetary return by simply utilizing Octopus’ proprietary machine-learning software solution.
‘Katz’s Never Kloses,’ which means they never stop needing electricity. With all-electric appliances in their kitchen, they knew that their electricity needs at this location would be fairly substantial—hence their interest in a cheaper alternative to purchasing expensive energy from the electric grid. Sunshine Renewable Solutions installed the perfect solution for them in the form of solar carports for their parking lot. In this case, the panels installed were bifacial, meaning they actually produce further energy from the sunlight reflected upward from the concrete below.
Lions Floor have established themselves as a top competitor in Texas’ custom flooring-installation market by making calculated and informed growth decisions which protect the business’ ability to provide class-leading products and services in perpetuity. After taking ownership of this warehouse building which now houses their Dallas-area inventory and operations, they made a smart investment into the asset by enlisting Sunshine Renewable Solutions to install rooftop solar.
As a company of forward thinkers and leaders in their industry, Sunbelt Supply set a goal to eliminate the carbon footprint left by their daily operations. Rooftop solar was a major component of their success in achieving this goal, as it virtually eliminated any need for dirty, expensive energy from the local power grid.
Despite the fact that Eaton have long since established themselves as leading electrical components manufacturers in 75 countries across 5 continents, they continue to innovate. The smart microgrid system at their new, state-of-the-art Experience Center is powered by rooftop solar, courtesy of Sunshine.
After seeing Sunshine’s early projections, the California-based hospitality investment group who own this hotel decided that solar was the most sound way to reinvest excess capital into their properties. They now enjoy dramatically lower daily operations costs and are well on their way to realizing massive net savings by hedging against the volatile and steadily escalating cost of grid power.

We at Sunshine were thrilled to concrete a strategic power-purchase agreement (PPA) between Sunshine & Temple leaders, offering a full turn-key solution. This arrangement helps the Temple provide more services to its community by saving money on their energy needs.
A product of a county bond measure designed to reduce operating costs and environmental impact at their local facilities, Sunshine was contracted to install this ballasted (non-penetrating) rooftop solar energy system, which is now providing 100% of the electric consumption for all occupants of the building.

The owner/operator of this gas station and convenience store decided to install solar as a way of lowering operating costs and maximizing profits. He’s since told us that many peers in his industry who have been skeptical of distributed renewable energy have had a change of heart since seeing his solar energy system in action.
Greenfill Storage is owned and operated by a group of shrewd investors who know a good R.O.I. when they see one. Since most units at this facility are non climate-controlled, their new solar energy system easily provides all the energy they require on site—removing another layer of cost and complexity from their already low-overhead business model.
When exploring opportunities to save money by curbing peak demand while simultaneously reducing environmental impact, the leaders of North American operations at Formosa Plastics decided to start with their flagship manufacturing facility—one of the largest and most state-of-the-art in all of the Americas. Sunshine Renewable Solutions were honored to provide full turn-key EPC for 800 kW of solar energy capacity and construction of the new carport structure on which it was installed.
