Since our inception, Sunshine Renewable Solutions’ primary goals have been to assist in the widespread adoption of solar energy and help people understand why it’s not just an environmentally responsible choice but also a fscally savvy one.
We’ve completed dozens of commercial solar installations of all sizes, scales, and use purposes. In that time, no business owner/operator has ever told us they regretted switching to solar power. The future of energy cultivation in Texas is solar, and more and more commercial operations are embracing the opportunity; learn why this is so.
Step 1: Design+Engineering
During the design/engineering phase, we will complete a custom draft of your commercial solar energy system to meet your energy needs. Depending on the type of building, property, and nearby environment, we suggest a roof, pole, or ground mount. Panel placement will be strategically arranged based on the area’s power load and irradiance; then, optimization equipment will be added. Once finished, we will share this along with pricing and projected savings.
Step 2: Permitting
Permitting is the most bureaucratic part of the process, but luckily, you don’t have to deal with it! The speed at which this portion moves depends on the local government, size, and project complexity. Dealing with the city/town approval processes can take some time; luckily, we have fostered great relationships to help move the process along.
Sunshine offers a turnkey solution, which includes obtaining all necessary solar permits from your utility and municipality.
Step 3: Installation
Once your permits have been obtained, we have already ordered all the necessary equipment and will be ready to install. Rest assured that your installation will be seamless and take between two days and two weeks (or longer, depending on the size and complexity of the system).
Step 4: Inspection
Before your system can start operating, the city and/or utility will complete a final inspection. These inspectors ensure that the modifications to the building or grounds are up to code and that the proper permits were acquired. Once this is complete, you can begin producing your own sun-fueled electricity!
Step 5: Performance Monitoring
Sunshine can monitor and provide reporting on your solar energy system to see how much energy you’re producing and that all components are working correctly. We will run remote diagnostics, performance monitoring, and reporting to ensure you feel confident in your system and its optimality.
Step 6: Maintenance (O&M)
We offer customized operations and maintenance (O&M) services to meet the needs of our commercial customers. Preventative and reactive maintenance are important parts of going solar, and we offer a 5-year workmanship warranty to give you peace of mind and confidence that your system will work as it should.
Scalable Savings
Energy suppliers and distributors would prefer your business pay for their services, regardless of rates and reliability; they know it’s operational costs you have to deal with, and they make big profits because of the scale on which commercial businesses operate. But it doesn’t have to be this way anymore, especially for businesses in the Lone Star State.
With a large-scale solar array installation, your businesses can become self-reliant with its energy needs and decrease operational costs by tens if not hundreds of thousands annually. It begs the question, why not harvest and own your business’ energy instead of leasing/renting it?
Tax Incentives
Many federal and local government agencies fully support solar energy adoption. Substantial tax incentives are available to commercial business owners, helping to alleviate the upfront installation costs and providing long-term savings. Some of the more notable incentives include:
Energy Independence via Energy Storage
Commercial solar energy harvested from solar arrays can be stored in commercial-scale batteries, capable of storing up to 1 megawatt of power! Large-scale commercial operations can avoid peak demand energy rates and decrease dependence on the unreliable, strained, overpriced grid with self-generated, clean stored energy, gaining independence from energy suppliers and even selling excess energy back to the grid.
